Dr. Timothy c. Cox awarded

fellowship of the American College of Physicians

San diego, ca, april 7, 2011:  Dr. Timothy C. Cox of Blue Water Oncology in Port Huron, Michigan achieved the distinction of Fellow at the American College of Physicians’ Internal Medicine Annual Meeting in San Diego, California. He was inducted during a Convocation ceremony held Thursday evening.  Fellowship is an honor achieved by those physicians who are recognized by their peers for personal integrity, superior competence in internal medicine, professional accomplishment, and demonstrated scholarship.

The American College of Physicians (ACP) is a national organization with more than 130,000 members. While all physicians must initially be board-certified in Internal Medicine, specialists are not required to maintain their certification. Dr. Cox continues to be board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Oncology.  This national recognition acknowledges Dr. Cox’s outstanding dedication to his patients and his involvement in the community through professional memberships, such as the St. Clair County Medical Society and participation in events like the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
